    Raw Material Design

    Process Testing Methods

    CATL’s product design and testing capabilities are focused on consumer and market demands. Some of the comprehensive and multi-dimensional areas are performance, reliability, electronics, software and mechanical environmental safety. We continue to optimize existing testing methods, as well as develop new testing methods. 

  • Software functional testing

    CATL designs and executes test cases based on customer's basic functionality and security requirements for Pack products, aiming to validate product software features and software security features.

  • Material characterization testing

    CATL tests details to nanolevel. And test methods include crystal structure and microstructure analysis, powder level physical/chemical properties and thermodynamic analysis, electrolyte analysis, and cell non-destructive testing.

  • EMC testing

    Based on CISPR-25/ISO-11452/ISO-7637/ISO-10605/VW-81000 and other standards, CATL refers to customer requirements and product specifications to verify the electromagnetic compatibility of the battery pack.

  • Electrical testing

    Based on ISO-16750/VW-80000 and other standards, CATL refers to customer requirements and product specifications to verify the electrical reliability of the battery pack.
